Lolita Meet-Up: Valentine's Day

This month, my lolita fashion community planned a tea sipping lolita meet.

We attended a local cafe downtown to start. It is always fun to try new places! Our delicious tea fueled a spontaneous trip to a new candy shop. I am excited to share my experience with you!

I posted a coordinate poll on my Facebook page. My followers chose Melty Cream Doughnut for my cafe meetup. It's the first time I have worn the dress out. The print was perfect for this event!

The weather on this day was a challenge! In Maine, it was bitterly cold. To top it off, we had 40 mph winds. When I left my apartment, I wished I had worn a simple wig. Once I arrived downtown, I made my way to Dobra Tea, the cafe location.

Dobra Tea

I had only been to this cafe once, and that was years ago. The cafe has a very relaxed vibe. There were tons of cafe chairs, couches, and lounge chairs. They even have a section that you can access, without shoes, for comfortable rug sitting. The other patrons were reading or working on computers.

When I arrived, I was given menus and told to sit anywhere. We were anticipating three attendees today, so I choose one of the cafe tables. I took the time to research what I would like to order.

Cierra arrived shortly after. Cierra had contacted me first via my website. I was so nice to connect with her in-person!

I ordered the black tea with vanilla and a gluten and dairy free ginger snap. Both of these were very delicious! I had to take a picture of Cierra holding her cookie because it matched her coord perfectly!

The cafe was a perfect place to chat. We had a very good time getting to know one another. As my parking meter deadline approached, Cierra asked if there were any good shops nearby. We decided to take a trip to the next town over and explore the mall.

Lolli and Pops

What could be sweeter for a February meetup than a trip to a candy shop? Lolli and Pops was decorated for Valentine's Day. Since the shop was new, we had never seen it before! Cierra and I were excited to explore this new business. Our coordinates fit in nicely with our sweet surroundings.

From cookies to caramels, cotton candy to gummi bears, there wasn't anything we couldn't find. Each item in the shop was wrapped in such a cute way! I had to take a few goodies home.

The shop was the perfect place for coordinate photos! We only took a few, since it was pretty crowded on a Saturday. The staff was super friendly, and the other customers liked our outfits, too!

The dessert case was a great place to take photos.

Cierra took a coordinate shot of me, and we took a few selfies together!
I cannot wait for our next new adventure.

Stay Frilly~
