When it isn’t Meant to Be

My excitement for my parcel couldn't be matched! I felt so fortunate to have snagged this incredible set. As I unboxed the stunning Wonder Toy OP in pink I was glad I had waited to record the moment. After five long years, it was mine! Once trying the piece on, however, I came to a terrible realization:

The dress didn't fit.

It happens to everyone, but it doesn't make it easier. When I find myself in this situation, this is the process I use to decide if I should make space for it or help it find another home!

What’s the issue?

What about this piece isn't a good match for you? Is it the size? The cut or material? The color? The length? Identifying the issue with the piece will help you find the best way to move forward.

Can it be Fixed?

Is the issue something that can be addressed? Can a stain be removed? How about the length adjusted with an underskirt, or an unbalanced piece with a sweater or bolero? Can you possibly exchange the undesired colorway for the one you want? If the sizing is off, is it something you can, or would be willing to, have altered to be a better fit for you? Only you can decide if these solutions would work for you!

Fit it or Get Rid of it!

If you are looking to fix this piece you may have a bit of work to do, but at least you know this piece still has a place in your closet with some adjustments! Here's hoping the fix is easier than expected.

If you decide you don't wish to, or are unable to fix the item, then it is time to have the item find another home. While it is a pain to have to resell the piece, at least you aren't forcing yourself to keep something that doesn't bring you happiness! Don't discount what you have learned, either! I know now that I will stay away from fitted Angelic Pretty one-pieces in the future and go with JSKs instead!

Thanks for reading! How would you handle this situation?

Stay Frilly~
